RALEIGH, N.C. – As Thanksgiving week begins, Urban Ministries of Wake County (UMWC) extends heartfelt gratitude to the community for its ongoing support. This season represents a time for connection, compassion, and care, and UMWC stands ready to support both neighbors in need and those looking for meaningful ways to give back.
In collaboration with the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation and members of the Carolina Hurricanes Fan Club, UMWC will distribute turkeys and non-perishable items to families.

- Share UMWC’s holiday resource information with neighbors who may need support.
- Donate food, host a food drive, or give online to keep pantry shelves stocked.
- Make a year-end gift to support UMWC’s life-changing programs.

“In a season defined by gratitude, we are especially thankful to everyone helping to ensure our neighbors have a warm meal and can experience the joy of the holidays,” said Jessica Holmes, Executive Director. “Our work is possible because we are blessed to live in a community that cares for one another and chooses hope and compassion even in challenging times.”
