Tour d’Coop is May 15th!

The “cluckiest” annual event in the Triangle is coming up: Henside the Beltline Tour d’Coop! The tour will take place Saturday, May 15th in several of Raleigh’s most interesting neighborhoods, including historic Oakwood and 5 Points. Visitors will be invited into local gardens where chickens are kept peacefully in an urban environment. Each coop is unique and there are many different beautiful and exotic varieties of birds to see! Admission is a donation of either cash or non-perishable food for our Pantry.

If you have attended the “Parade of Combs” before, you know how fun it is for adults and kids alike. If you haven’t, you must! The tour grows exponentially each year as word gets around.
We expect it to be a little bit crazy in 2010, so volunteers are needed. If you would like to be involved, please contact Laura Ridgeway at Lridgeway@urbanmin.org or 919.256.2168.
