Join us in the fight against poverty in our community. Your support makes it possible to reach more of our neighbors who are homeless, hungry, unemployed, have no health insurance, are recovering from substance abuse or experiencing financial difficulties.
What your donations support:
- $25 will buy 25 CAT bus tickets for homeless women at the Helen Wright Center to travel to medical appointments and job interviews.
- $50 will purchase 8 prescriptions for patients in the Open Door Clinic.
- $100 will provide a week’s worth of food for 25 families in the Food Pantry.
- $200 will keep the Job Link office open for 30 days to help clients in the Crisis Support Program find employment.
- $500 will provide comprehensive medical care, including doctors visits, all prescription medications and supplies, lab work, diagnostic tests (CT,MRI,other), immunizations, referrals to specialists, and chronic disease management for one patient for one full year in the Open Door Clinic.
Your financial contribution will directly impact the lives to Wake County families living in poverty. The total value of volunteer time and in-king donations of medications, food, meals, lab tests, and equipment totals more than $6 million annually. Because of this tremendous support, 94 cents of every dollar you give to Urban Ministries goes to help those who need it most. Urban Ministries is supported by businesses, individuals, foundations, congregations, the United Way, and local government.
