How to Help
We need you to join in our fight against poverty. Your support makes it possible to reach more people in our community who are homeless, hungry, unemployed, have no health insurance, are recovering from substance abuse or experiencing financial difficulties.
What your donations support:
- $30 will provide two-weeks worth of food for a family of three in the Crisis Support Program.
- $60 will provide a night of housing, meals, and support services for two homeless women at the Helen Wright Center for Women.
- $100 will pay for a doctor’s visit, lab work and all prescription medications for a patient with a serious chronic illness at the Open Door Clinic.
Every dollar you invest in Urban Ministries of Wake County has a return of $3.00 worth of services for people in Wake County. Our administrative overhead is less than 5%, which means that 91 cents of every dollar goes directly to the people we serve.
