Crisis Support Services

“On behalf of myself and my mother, we would like to express our extreme gratitude for the services your organization provided at a time when we could not obtain help from anywhere else. Please know that the service your organization provides is a tremendous asset to the community.” – A Crisis Client

The Crisis Support Program works to keep families stable by providing basic needs such as food, medicine, and employment assistance, and by promoting solutions to long-term problems. More than 50% of Americans live in poverty at some point in their lives.

In Wake County, 82,000, or one in nearly every 9 people, live in poverty. Urban Ministries touches the lives of more than 23,000 diverse clients every year. The average income of our clients for a family of four is $19,435. Approximately 69% are women; 31% men.
