Job Description

  • Manage front desk operations and interact with shelter guests informally (talking with residents, playing cards, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering telephones
  • Answering the door
  • Referring callers to appropriate services
  • Verifying residents completion of chores

  • Ability to answer questions
  • Ability to follow up with residents

Training Required

  • Volunteer orientation
    • RSVP registration
  • Helen Wright orientation

Days and Hours of Operation

  • Shifts are flexible
  • Monday-Friday
    • 4:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday
    • 9:00am – 12:00pm
    • 12:00pm – 3:00pm
    • 3:00pm – 6:00pm
    • 6:00pm – 9:00pm
